You are bidding on a handcrafted dichroic glass and enamel pendant designed and created by Blaze Art Glass in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. We have been working with kiln-fired glass for more than a decade, and have created some really unusual techniques from our years of experimentation with glass that result in very cool and unique pieces. They look great worn on a chain or leather cord. They are also perfect for jewelry designers, metalsmiths, bead artists and precious metal clay artists who are looking for something different from the mainstream fused glass to incorporate with their work. If you win an auction and wish to have the pieces without bails, please let us know and we ll remove them before shipping. The vibrance in our glass is the result of different metal oxides which are vapor coated in micro-thin layers onto sheet glass, (dichroic) then often combined with iridized glass, colored glass, and powdered vitreous enamels. (This is what makes our pieces so unique! ) The glass is carefully cut, arranged, then placed in the kiln and fired up to about 1500 degrees fahrenheit where the glass fuses together. Each piece is often fired multiple times to achieve further depth and design, then it is shaped on grinding wheels, fire-polished, and kiln-annealed for strength and durability. A ...
